Residential Inpatient Treatment in Florida

As Florida's leading residential drug and alcohol treatment center, the Palm Beach Institute places primary emphasis on residential drug and alcohol rehabilitative care for adults and adolescents, 17 and older, who are at the beginning stages of treatment.

Residential services are for clients in need of intensive services that require twenty-four hour monitoring and supervision. This is a critical phase for clients in the beginning stages of treatment. Clients may experience intense cravings and are at a greater risk of relapse. They are in the process of developing skills to resist the impulse to use. Residential care, though voluntary, gives these clients the opportunity to reside in a comfortable, safe environment where they can talk and work through their issues with a caring, professionally trained staff.

Clients reside in a bed and breakfast setting with semi-private accommodations. The day is structured to provide group and individual care. Clients participate in 12-step based meetings both on- and off-site in the community. The Palm Beach Institute believes healthy diet, nutrition, exercise and spirituality are important components of care as well. As such, clients visit the gym three times per week and are offered yoga as well. Our chef prepares well-balanced meals to add to their nutritional recovery. The clients are also exposed to a wide variety of outings to enrich their spirituality and to help them to learn to enjoy their sobriety.

Once clients have completed this level of care, they move onto Extended Care or our Intensive Outpatient Program. With both of these levels, Aftercare is also included.
