Our Facility: About The Palm Beach Institute

Why Choose the Palm Beach Institute?

We provide a full continuum of care, meaning that clients suffering from substance addiction receive treatment within one seamless experience that smoothly transitions you from medical detoxification to in-patient care. And even after our clients graduate from treatment, we’re still here to help with an alumni program that provides a network of resources and support. At PBI, our staff collaborates with insurance professionals and advocates on your behalf to make optimal use of available insurance benefits. While our addiction treatment programs are covered by many major insurance policies, we also offer full and partial private pay options for those that are uninsured or underinsured.

The first private addiction treatment center in South Florida, The Palm Beach Institute has helped more than 12,000 clients recover from drug and alcohol addiction throughout its distinguished history. Accredited by the Joint Commission, The Palm Beach Institute is one of the country’s premier alcohol and drug rehab treatment centers and has been for more than 45 years, achieving national and international recognition for our commitment to excellence in treating drug and alcohol addiction.

What Defines a Great Treatment Facility?

Choosing a treatment facility is not a decision that should be made lightly. There are several important factors and considerations to keep in mind before making your final choice. Accreditation is first and foremost, as it ensures that the program is being run by staff who are licensed and well-trained in the fields of both addiction and mental health. The treatment methods implemented should also have a proven track record, backed by scientific and objective statistics of its success.

Finally, there’s aftercare, something that many facilities often neglect. A well-run aftercare program is essential to relapse prevention and should be created as a collaboration between patient and staff, as well as provide referrals to other resources in the community. More than anything, you want to know that the facility you’re choosing will be the one that best fits each individual’s unique recovery needs and has a long history of success when it comes to treating that specific addiction.

Patience is essential as people recover from addictive substance use. It’s a process, and no matter where our clients are on their path, we have treatment services that can meet their needs. No two people are alike, and what works for one person may not work for another. At the Palm Beach Institute, you will be given a comprehensive evaluation before being placed into a program that is tailored to your needs.
